Gathering together reclaim our wild and cyclical ways ♥

Life on Earth is not a rigid march but a rhythmic dance and the Autumn Equinox invites us to remember the rhythms and steps of this timeless circle dance.

Taking time to honour and celebrate the turning points of the wheel of the year is a way to deepen our connection to the rhythms of nature and of our bodies. The Autumn Equinox is a day of equal light and a dark that serves as a potent reminder of the importance of honouring both growth and abatement, productivity and rest, emergence and retreat. A time to cultivate and explore a deep sense of gratitude for all we have harvested the year so far.

During this online Womxn’s Circle we will be exploring the themes of harvest, gratitude and the life/death/life cycle through the lens of pranayama (breath practices), asana (movement), mudra (hand gestures), Yoga Nidra (deep rest), ritual and sharing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A rough guide to how the session will unfold (likely to shift and change):

11:15-11:30 Arrivals from 11:15 - pre session tea, chat, cards

11:30-11:45 Centring and introduction to session

11:45-12:45 Wild Woman Yoga, Meditation, Journaling & Yoga Nidra

12:50-13:20 Womxn’s Circle in small groups in breakout rooms (time for wee break)

13:20-13:30 Group sharing and closing circle

Wild Woman Yoga

Our asana practice will be guided by the needs, wants and rhythms of the group. There will be options for all phases of the menstrual cycle as well as different energy levels and vibes you might be working with. So your practice might be a dynamic, strong and sweaty practice, a slow and sensual roll around on the floor or an hour of nourishing restorative. WHATEVER you feel. An invitation to practice listening to your body and your rhythms and how to flow with them.

Yoga Nidra ~ Our practice will end with a Yoga Nidra, a practice of deep rest through wakeful sleep that blends the benefits of deep sleep, deep meditation and deep relaxation into one effortless practice.

Womxn's Circle ~ At the end of the session we'll break out into breakout rooms to share (this enables each person to share for longer!) and then we'll come back together with space for a few group shares too.

A womxn's circle is simple, it's a space where we can come and just be, where you can show up exactly as you are unfiltered. A place to rest, breathe, feel and move. A place to be seen AND heard in a world where womxn have been taught to be seen and NOT heard. Sharing is ALWAYS optional. You are welcome to simply quietly soak in the words of others.

MY STYLE OF SHARING YOGA

I love...

When it comes to yoga I love to work hard, play hard and rest incredibly hard! I like to sweat, dance, roll around, laugh, cry, try things I don't think I can do, explore things I love and liberate myself from the confines of structure and form to invoke feelings of freedom and wildness.

I love to explore challenge as I feel yoga can reveal to us that we are capable of so much more than we think we are and helps to challenge self-limiting beliefs.

Working Towards Being Completely Permissive & Inclusive

I seek to offer an inclusive, supportive, autonomous and nurturing environment which offers the space and freedom to explore the practice in a way that suits and serves your ever shifting mental, physical and emotional needs. I am defiant and rebellious and don't enjoy being told what to do so I try not to tell you what to do either and instead use permissive invitational language whilst still providing enough containment to hold the practice space safely.

My intention: Freedom

My intention as a teacher is to invite the exploration of freedom and unearth the many individual pathways to liberation through movement, self enquiry, meditation, breath, community and rest. Exploring resistance, defences and habitual patterns through the lens of movement, meditation and relaxation to discover the freedom to breathe well, move well and live well.

I offer: Wildness

I offer movement inspired by our wild nature; playful, spontaneous, fluid, cyclical, rhythmic and self-guided and regularly weave stories, themes and ideas from daily life and nature into the practices. My teachings are very much rooted in the modern day whilst also drawing inspiration from the traditions of the practice and the old ways.

I choose: Honesty

I choose to bring the truth of how I feel to each and every class because I truly believe the more human we can be with each other, the easier it becomes for us to be human.
