An exploration of nature and yoga to cultivate rootedness and connection and nurture our sense of wonder.
WILD WOMAN CLUB
The first of a series of Wild Woman Club events for 2020!
Wild Woman Club is a home for women who crave a wilder life, a community of wild women coming together to reclaim our natural wholeness.
We retreat to the moon lodge, delve into the forest and surrender to the flow to reclaim, reconnect to and restore a wild and cyclical life.
Wild Woman Club offers a series of nature based events throughout the year as well as access to an online community of wild women and regular recorded offerings and exclusive content via my Patreon page (pay what you can model).
Reconnecting to nature, reclaiming the wild soul, restoring the natural world
SIGNS OF SPRING WALK, WILD YOGA & WOMEN'S CIRCLE
We will head into the forest for a nurturing and enlivening morning yoga practice in the forest closing with a wild nidra under the canopy (weather dependent).
Throughout the day our resident nature expert Michelle Sawbridge-Praties will be offering an informative and interactive forest school experience. Using all of our senses we will be guided to explore and discover the signs of spring whether on the ground, in the canopy or in the sky above. This workshop is intended to cultivate our sense of curiosity and wonder and explore the changes in the forest at this seasonal juncture.
Our day will close with a women's circle under the trees.
‘Rewilding is about becoming re-enchanted with nature. It is about nurturing our sense of wonder.’ ~ Marc Bekoff
WHAT TO EXPECT
SIGNS OF SPRING WALK ~ a gentle guided walk through the forest with lots of information and one of Michelle's legendary handouts to take away
WILD WOMAN YOGA IN THE FOREST ~ Wild Yoga is about immersing in our natural home and reconnecting to nature and her cycles to reaffirm our connection with the inner and outer rhythms that guide and inform our very being.
We take our yoga practice into nature to reclaim our wildness. Through the senses, play, embodied movement, mindfulness and deep rest we liberate our inner wild women.
Yoga and nature are great teachers of surrendering to the flow and being released from expectations of consistency, predictability and infinite resource. When immersed in the flow of a yoga practice or absorbed in the beauty and majesty of nature everything else slips away and true embodiment becomes possible. Bringing yoga and nature together has always felt like a homecoming.
YOGA NIDRA ~ deep rest through wakeful sleep, a practice that blends the benefits of deep sleep, deep meditation and deep relaxation into one effortless practice
WOMEN'S CIRCLE ~ A women's circle is simple, it's a space where we can just be. A place to rest, breathe, feel and move. A place to be seen AND heard in a world where women have been taught to be seen and NOT heard
Explorations of the Feminine are inherently inclusive and as such these circles are open to all who identify as women including trans, non-binary or any other expression or identification of femininity. These circles value diversity of expression, experience and perspectives.
Open to all ages, life stages and cycle phases, including babies and young children (with adults).
Sliding scale pricing and one free space available through my Suspended Yoga programme.
Michelle inherited her obsession with nature and being outdoors from her parents. Hours spent sitting in bird hides or next to a fishing rod gave her time to appreciate nature, including all the small things. She loves to notice the cause and effect animals and plants have on each other and the environment, and how we can try and understand these further.
