Wild Woman Day Retreat

An intimate rewilding day retreat for women based on a rewilded farm set amongst ancient woodland in the Northamptonshire countryside.

Fern - Laura Trinder.jpeg

These rewilding day retreats offer an escape from modern life to soak up the nourishment of nature and natural ways of being. A shift away from the constraints of time and the pressures of daily life to immerse in nature, community and simplicity.

An invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, move freely and reconnect to your wilder spirit.

Our time will be spent immersed in nature, moving wildly, resting deeply, working with our hands and connecting over the fire as our ancestors once did.

Flow of the Day

The flow of the day is loosely structured but it has always been important to us to honour the mood, energy and dynamic of the group so this may change.

We'll gather for tea in the Hideout on arrival at 10am to get to know each other and settle in and then we'll head to the bell tent for a morning meditation and opening circle.

We'll then take a Wild Woman Yoga practice either inside or out depending on the weather before settling into some deep relaxation through yoga nidra.

After our morning practice we'll stop for lunch which will be a soup cooked over the fire. Cherry will teach us how to make our own simple flatbreads that we can slather up with delicious grass-fed butter and dip into the soup.

There will also be a tea station, fruit and homemade flapjacks on offer throughout the day.

In the afternoon we'll explore the woods, paddle in the stream, take a barefoot walk, engage in some rewilding practices and nature immersion before heading back to the Hideout for a campfire and more of that essential tea.

Around the fire we'll work with our hands learning traditional crafts, sing, share and toast marshmallows.

And then we'll head back to the bell tent to close out our day for 5pm.

More details

Inclusivity

Explorations of the Feminine are inherently inclusive and as such open to all including any person who identifies as a woman, any expression or identification of femininity as well as non-binary gender expressions.

My work is inclusive of but not exclusive to those with wombs and periods. You don't have to have a womb or periods to practice with me or join a circle but if you do I'm here to accommodate that.

Mothers

Babes in arms are always welcome. As for other little ones...

I want to make sure the women can relax fully and as a toddler mum I can attest that toddlers aren't necessarily conducive to that! So for this particular kind of day retreat you are more than welcome to bring your little ones if you have someone who can watch them for you whilst you're in the bell tent taking the relaxation practices. They can hang out in The Hideout or explore the farm and then they can join us for our nature walks, rewilding practices and time around the campfire. Please let me know at time of booking so I can plan for this and we can discuss extra food costs if necessary.

If you have older kids and want them to join you in the bell tent they'll just need to pay for a ticket as there's limited space.

The Venue

Hideaway Wood Farm is an idyllic escape situated on their very own 28 acres of rewilded land in Northamptonshire.

It's home to alpacas, ducks, chickens, ponies and goats ready to greet you, woods to explore, dens to build, streams to paddle in, hammocks to relax in and lots of wildlife to spot.

The perfect location for our day of nature and connection.

The Hosts

Carly

I’m Carly and I’m a stay-at-home mama, yoga teacher and rewilding enthusiast.

I blend Well Woman Yoga therapy, cyclical living, women’s circles, restorative yoga and yoga nidra with my love of anthropology, rewilding and natural movement to offer a wild and cyclical practice for women of all ages, life stages and cycle phases. I call it Wild Woman Yoga.

I created Moon Forest Flow and my membership space, Wild Woman Club as a space for the whole village. A place which honours the shifting needs of a woman’s womb life through a lifetime. A space dedicated to the rewilding of mind, body and motherhood.

My intention is to offer practices that are inspired by our wilder heritage, adaptive to our cyclical nature and supportive of the changing seasons and cycles of nature and of our bodies.

My hope is that this creates a space that is welcoming and nourishing for women of all ages, life stages and cycle phases whether menstruating, trying to conceive, pregnant, postnatal, menopausal or simply interested in weaving more cyclical wildness back into modern life.

What people say

I am so so full of love and gratitude for the classes and retreats Carly offers that I just want to shout it from the rooftops- or maybe more accurately…howl it! Carly leads with such strength and vulnerability and creates an incredibly liberating and safe space to strip back the layers and show up exactly as you are. Whether I am tired, sad, happy or wild, all of it- and everything in between- is not only welcomed but actively encouraged. If you’ve been thinking about trying one of Carly’s classes I really cannot recommend it enough. This is SO much more than yoga! Your heart, soul and inner wild woman will thank you deeply for it ❤️ The world and womenkind need more of this. Thank you Carly 🐺💫🙌
